Ginga: the First Wars
This official Ginga-spinoff is where Yoshihiro Takahashi stands for the story, and Tsuji Tsukasa is the one that draws. It is in chibi-form and also spelled as "ぎんが" in hiragana instead of kanji "銀牙" so it's: ぎんが ~THE FIRST WARS~. It comes out in a special Monthly Goraku (other Ginga comes in Weekly Goraku). And it started in October.

Re: Ginga: the First Wars
Somebody please give poor Rigel a tissue already, having your nose running like that for months can't be pleasant.
I really hope this'll eventually get a tankobon release. Assuming it'd be about the same size as the main Ginga volumes, I suppose that would happen after it reaches six or seven chapters? Assuming it's not super short and only ends up running for like ten chapters or so.

Here's the Mangaka's blog as well:

The chapters themselves are only 8 pages long though.Digsu wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 3:49 pm I really hope this'll eventually get a tankobon release. Oh my god that was absolutely glorious. I really love the characterization in this, from Rigel being dopey to Bella being the only sane pup in the litter to Sirius being a complete hippie ("embrace the endless vibes of love" dear god my sides). And Orion is just being Orion.Arano wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2018 11:28 am Regnant posted pictures of the first chapter on the silver fang network tumblr and better still, someone translated it (thank you whoever you are) and it is GOLD

Once I buy a new scanner (probably next week) I'll get an actual scanlation of it instead of just photos! I haven't bought any of the other Monthly Gorakus though...

Re: Ginga: the First Wars
I hope this all ends up in a volume later on. With the normal Ginga chapters that's about 22 pages long, ends up in a volume of 8 chapters and comes out weekly. These chapter are shorter and monthly, so we have no idea how many chapters a volume of this might end up with. So no need of buying every month. Though I know I would if I would've been in Japan

Re: Ginga: the First Wars
I didn't like the idea of a spin-off of Ginga at first, but after reading this first chapter, I must say that I'd love to see more of this kind of stuff! Rigel is my favourite!

I love how Bella was the only sane one here. "I can't take this anymore, my brothers are idiots."

This was hilarious! I loved the characterization for the pups, especially Sirius (I guess that’s why his dad’s name is Weed ). I can’t really pick a favorite because I like them all. Someone please get Rigel a tissue tho.

Oh the "super jump" legacy, how hillarous, I loved it! xD
I feel that Bella has much more personality here than in GDWO and TLW alltogether.

Re: Ginga: the First Wars
Would be pretty nice if she was like this is TLW aswell. Someone to bonk the heads of both Orion and Sirius whenever they're being stupid
