When growing up in Ethiopia, Shogun grew up being the odd one out of the harem, due to his different fur colour. He is now used to it, so used to it by now. He lived in the shades in the highlands. He was quite close to his mother growing up; when he had to stay from the sun when younger he would huddle under his mother.

Harpoon bear did have to adjust to the harpoons on his back, like having to get comfortable and bump into things with them.
