My distain for GDN aside, I can't resist fake anime screenshots. I know this scene didn't exactly play out like this, but if I'm gonna draw GDN I need to make it bareable.

And in case you haven't I'll just copypaste this mini essay I wrote like a year ago.

Just in case there's anyone here who's not aware of the absolute badass queen that is Seiran then allow me to educate you because holy shit not before or since has Yoshi ever made another female character like her.

You know how guys like Benizakura and Musashi are yokozunas, ie. the highest official rank in dog fighting/sumo? Seiran is a dai-yokozuna, which is basically an unofficial rank above yokozuna. While there apparently isn't a set-in-stone definition for what dai-yokozuna is exactly, the two most common explanations I could find was "yokozuna who has won at least 10 championships" or simply "the greatest yokozuna of the generation". Seiran is basically at the top of the dog fighting world in SSY. She's basically the closest thing the series' has to freaking Benizakura (who, I'd like to remind you again, was "only" a normal yokozuna).

Yes, the series does put a lot of emphasis on her being Musashi's mother, but it puts just as much emphasis on Musashi being her son. She's not just "Seiran, Musashi's mother", she's "dai-yokozuna Seiran-gou, Musashi's mother", goddammit, and every time Musashi does something badass, there's a very high chance it'll be attribute to him having inherited her blood.

Also, she did the "die standing up" thing long before Toubei... and she didn't need anyone to prop her up or for her body to freeze solid to do it. Hell, the narration outright says her heart may have already stopped beating a while before she stopped moving, "like how it's said that a lion, the great king of beasts, can still run several hundred meters after getting shot in the heart".

tldr; I hecking stan Seiran and am absolutely not sorry.

Didn't even know about this character until now. She indeed looks like a badass. Why couldn't we have more females like that? I mean Cross and Lydia are two others. But that's it. Awesome banner, though!

Au where Lydia doesn't get squished but rather swattered off a cliff by a bear and pulls a Rki and becomes a bad guy because we will never have a female villain or a main one for that matter and then Koyuki kicks her ass all over the top edgy and gets some badass scars while she's at it idk. Fanfics are not my thing at all because I lose interest almost instantly but I had a stupid ooc Idea that makes no sense but still had to do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
