Favorites

GB - He is a very funny and lovable character! Also the best developed character in the Ginga series.

Weed (Anime, Kaibutsu + Hougen Arc only) - I know a lot of people don't really like anime Weed, but I like him more and prefer him over manga Weed. He is much more tolerable in the anime (imo.)

Kyoushiro (Hougen Arc only) - Before he became Jyoushiro!!!

Ken & Kagetora - The dou ever

Izou - I love his design.

John - I love John! It really hurt to see him die.

Hougen - A controversial one???

Murder S/Sniper - I love Sniper in GNG. But I don't think It was really necessary for him to come back.
Kamakiri - Didn't really care for him. I just hate him.
Mel - He's annoying.
Akame - I liked him in GNG. But after GNG, He's the perfect, goody two shoes, it seems like he's immortal. He needs to die at some point

Probably the only monkeys in Ginga I like are Pepe and Gozaru. I also like the one dude that shot Hougen after the battle in Volume 30 (iirc), can't remember his name

My least favorite character has to be Hougen : he's a good villain in a sense that i despise him and he's pure evil but I've genuinely never enjoyed a single scene with hougen in it, atleast in the anime (haven't made it fully through gdw manga). Not to mention, there is not ONE thing that Hougen has ever said or done to make me feel anything but extreme feelings of "urggghh", i mean even background characters make me laugh hard enough with how jank they look instead LMAOOO. The funniest scene with Hougen is when he got struck by lightning at the last moment and died he's a straight mega fiend

ON THE OTHER HAND i LOVVVE GB and Smith, i love the long hair comic relief doods. From what i've seen, some of the most expressive shots come from these two characters, i feel more come from GB but i may not be paying too close attention lmao. I also fw the way that GB's written lowkey, like he's building himself up from the straight coward that he used to be, though i do also like that aspect as it's nice to have a character that doesn't want to kill themselves constantly

I can only think of how much I hate Weed My opinion is based on the anime character. Fifteen year old me watching GDW anime and I absolutely hated Weed for being so naiive and annoying
And now 16 years later, I can't change my opinion about him
