I think the Kai brothers are pretty awesome and just have an aura of... well, awesomeness. Hakuro has my same orange hair color and a super annoying laugh that sounds exactly like mine, so I can relate to him! I thought Gin was awesome as well, a lot better than Weed (I did like him!), and was generally a perfect protagonist in general, fitting all the nessecary categories for 'good guy' without making him too lame *coughs, gestures to marijuana*. But this show has a lot of great, badass characters!

Much like the question of 'saddest death', in the end I can't really choose.
