Yes, I was one of the many fans who nagged the distributor for years to release the series uncut

I grew up watching a copied version of the 3rd VHS without knowing that it was in fact number 3. Some time later we got the 4th VHS, but still didn't know about 1 and 2 until years later.

Getting the Uncut DVD when I was a teen was an amazing moment!

I watched GNG first on YouTube some time before the manga was translated into Finnish. It did not stick with me though, I did not remember much of it, but I recognized Gin on the manga cover when I saw it in the store and I've been a fan ever since.
