Why Weed Just Can't Have A Scar?

My dude's neck just got torn apart by Hougen and five minutes later he is just default Weed.
When Kyoushiro and him attacked by assasins Kyou's wounds became scars but his?
I'm not gonna talk about the bear part..
That doesn't make any sense!

Yes but sometimes it's just illogical.He got hits that can kill other dogs , but it just doesn't effect him. And they are wild dogs that fight to survive.My opinion is most of them should have scars.

Realistically yes but it's far from the most illogical thing going on in Ginga right now. I agree but I don't really care about it.

Edit: I think they care more about artistic desing choice if that is the right word for it.

Lots of characters really get wounds that would realistically leave scars. I mean, Akame besides the aformentioned part was also hit in the neck with a scythe, pretty sure that would leave at least a slightly visible scar.

But nah, scars are 'given' rarely and as sort of marks of honor, I imagine. Functionally scars give character or personality, and make a dog stand out more.

He got his tongue split in half, and I guess tongues do heal pretty fast.. but realistically he should have at least SOME scars. He even got stabbed by Shūga a few times and walked it off

Either because Weed/Crack doesn't deserve any, or because, like others have said, way too damn pure to have any, or because Yoshi prefers Weed to not have any for whatever reason. I don't know.

I always imagined Yoshi liked him too much to give him scars and maybe he or the publishers thought he would be "too unrecognizable" with them for some reason? But now that he's no longer the main character there's really no reason he shouldn't have any, especially not after the bear attack!

Because he is the main character.
If he had scars, he would be harder to draw and easier to confuse with other akitas with scars later on. Gin, for example, also has only scars on his head, although he was badly beaten in general. His scars are his feature, but they are not created for realistic reasons.
I look at it from an artistic perspective. Scars are a difficult addition, you can easily miss them in the drawing. Besides, Yoshi is so used to little Weed that he sometimes forgets what he looks like as an adult.
But I'd like to see at least two scars on his neck so that he's no longer confused with Sirius.

I think Yoshi still sees Weed somewhat as the young cute protagonist, so he doesn’t have scars because of that. He’s not world-weary enough for scars yet.
